Civilization Rights and Civilization: Challenges and Opportunities in the Archaeology of the Arab World

The workshop I led and delivered the keynote for at the 28th International Conference of the Arab Council for Archaeologists (Association of Arab Universities) was successfully held on 22 November 2025, under the title:

“Civilization Rights and Civilizology: Challenges and Opportunities in the Archaeology of the Arab World – Toward a Transformative Civilizational Shift.”

The Civilization Rights Institute presented the scientific framework of Civilization Rights, the International Day of Civilization Rights, and the applications of Civilizology in original heritage environments, while addressing current challenges and pathways for sustainable civilizational development. The workshop brought together distinguished scholars and cultural leaders, each contributing significant value to the dialogue.

The speakers included:

Prof. Mohamed Al-Kahliwy, Prof. Mahmoud Sakr, Prof. Hossam Lotfy, Mr. Ahmed Al-Sarsawy, Dr. Osama Al-Nahhas, Dr. Khaled Hasouna Eng. Majed Farraj, and Dr. Hassan Refaat.

The workshop concluded with a key institutional recommendation: establishing Civilization Rights & Civilizology Units in every Arab university through the Association of Arab Universities, with the selection of heritage and archaeological sites for implementation coordinated by the Arab Council for Archaeologists, reinforcing a unified Arab vision for heritage protection and civilizational empowerment
