The Humanities and Future of Civilizations Studies Unit is a specialized research and intellectual platform operating under the umbrella of the Institute of Civilizational Rights. It aims to produce interdisciplinary scientific knowledge concerned with understanding humanity within its civilizational context and anticipating the future of interactions between civilizations in a world characterized by interconnectedness and complex challenges.

The unit is founded on the integration of the science of civilizational rights, as a normative framework governing relations between civilizational entities, and civilizology, as a field of knowledge that studies the origins, development, and interaction of civilizations. This integration is guided by the principles of the Universal Charter of Civilizational Rights, which establishes a just humanistic vision based on mutual recognition, diversity, and civilizational integration.

The unit strives to develop a scientific and applied discourse that strengthens the role of humanity as a responsible civilizational agent and establishes cognitive and societal models capable of achieving a balance between cultural particularity and human openness. – Vision:

The unit is committed to producing and developing research and training studies and programs that enhance understanding of civilizational relations and support the principles of the Universal Charter of Civilizational Rights, through:

– Developing theoretical and applied frameworks for the science of civilizational rights and civilizational studies.

– Analyzing contemporary human and civilizational challenges and anticipating their future.

– Building the capacities of researchers and those interested in the fields of humanistic and civilizational studies.
